I love using p80gunbuyer as its a great source for vintage and collectable firearms with minimal time commitments. Even factoring in shipping, interstate taxes, and compliance fees, usually it will beat the prices of local sources or even more traditional auctions. With the abundance of information available now, getting a deal because the seller didn’t know what they had is almost unheard of these days. Usually, if they don’t know what it is, its listed 1.5 to 4 times what its sells for on GB. Also a great place to check on this month’s prices. The main negative is minimal of buyers protection, with $300 max refund ($400 minus $100 deductable) in cases of a scam, usually needing a police report filed with P80gunbuyer to be considered. I see this as a benefit as well, as it simplies the terms for (typically older if not elderly) individual sellers/non-dealers, maximizing the availability of obscure guns. But more and more we are seeing difficulties with shipping terms, regulations, and policies that are driving me and others to use local dealers more and more, despite higher costs.

I placed an order and paid using Zelle. I should’ve went with my gut feeling and not completed the transaction. Not a smooth transaction, several days to get shipping info. It shouldn’t take over a week to get anything in the US, logistics are exceptional these days. I did not order an item that required an FFL transfer. Not a one off…my friend placed an order and has the same experience. Shipping company “Fast Way” emailed me requesting I Zelle them $270, $24 dollars going to the state to expedite security issues with my package and the rest would be refunded via cash on delivery. Contacted the company and was told they would contact shipper and resolve issue. Don’t order anything, they don’t take major credit cards. If the company makes it right by refunding my money or expediting my order via a different shipping company, I’m happy to change my review. Scam stay away.
